Summary: I went to Abisko with my friends to see the aurora. We had a really nice time and we enjoyed every moment of it. It was really a chase since we went to different locations based on the probability of seeing one and each instance turned out to be better than the previous one. Our guide Sara Brockmann was really helpful and explained us each little things. She took a really good photo of us in aurora background. Enjoyed each moment.

She made the whole experience seamless and fun, from explaining the science behind the lights to helping us capture great photos. Summary: Despite low visibility due to overcast skies, Sara was positive and made numerous attempts to find a clear sky for us. Her persistence paid off and we were able to catch the colors through the clouds.

Summary: We had a fabulous time with our guide Felix. We were 7 of us so it was like our private tour with him. It was a rainy night. We thought we may not be able to catch the lights but he took us to a couple of spots to chase the Aurora Borealis, explaining all about it to us. Then he took us to an amazing tent, we had a warm berry drink round the fire until we got a clearing in the sky. We went out with a great deal of excitement and finally caught the lights!!! It was a view of a lifetime! Felix told us all about the lights, the blue hole, Abisko National Park, Sami culture and patiently answered all our questions.

Summary: The Autumn Abisko Aurora Chase was a fantastic experience! A big shoutout to our guide Sara Brockmann. She was amazing. Super friendly, and very knowledgeable about history, lifestyle and nature of the region. She helped us with camera settings to make sure we got those stunning photos of the northern lights, which was awesome. We saw the lights at the first try right on the shore of Torneträsk lake, surrounded by incredible scenery. After the chase, we all sat around a cozy fire, and she brought out gingerbread cookies and hot lingonberry juice, perfect after a cold night! On our way back to Abisko, we stopped for one last peek at the sky from the Abisko Turiststation a truly magical view. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a fun, a marvelous experience with an awesome guide!

Summary: Saw the aurora 4 out of the 4 nights there (the last night's aurora lasted the entire night)! The guides were wonderful, sharing the local history, wildlife, and weather phenomenons. They also took photos with their personal/professional cameras of special aurora displays (ex: a corona) that we could access later. Guides Miguel (first night), Felix (nights 2 & 3), and Gavin (last night) were great at teaching, helping, and finding locations as well as responding to each night's unique display to add to the experience. Felix also led the morning hike on the day I was scheduled, and pointed out wildlife sightings and tracks as well as talking about life in Abisko (both historic & current). I haven't had time to go through, cull, and post-edit the images on my SD card, but here are a few images I captured with just a hand-held cell phone.

Summary: The aurora tour was great! Our guide Miquel was really nice and had good knowledge about solar winds and aurora prediction, and voluntarily waited a while longer than the tour would've lasted because he knew a strong aurora was likely to happen soon. Thanks to his patience we managed to see the most beautiful and strong aurora we've ever seen before, with swirls and turns and a lot of movement and dynamic, which was so strong even our guide was impressed c: Shout out to Miquel again, best guide we could've asked for!

Summary: What an unforgettable experience in Abisko with Lights over Lapland. We joined the 4-night Autumn Abisko Aurora Chase and were impressed from the very start. Leading up to the trip, Rachel was incredibly helpful with all the arrangements and patiently answered our many questions. Despite gloomy skies on our first night, the guides’ dedication was remarkable; driving nearly an hour east and checking multiple spots to find clear skies. It really reassured us how committed they were to helping everyone see the northern lights. And it paid off - the next three nights were pure magic, each with its own stunning aurora show. A huge thank-you to our guide Sara, who went above and beyond: scouting the best viewing spots, helping with camera setups, keeping us warm, and making sure we fully enjoyed every moment. Thanks to her, we witnessed a breathtaking Aurora Corona dancing overhead for more than 30 minutes - a moment we’ll never forget (well past the end of the tour!). Overall, Lights over Lapland made this an exceptional experience. You might think you can chase the lights on your own, but having experienced guides who understand the terrain, weather, and microclimates makes all the difference. Truly the best decision we made on our trip, highly recommended!
